The Lambert’s are a family of 4 from Wilmington. In 2018, Rowan was born with Bicoronal Craniosynostosis, a rare genetic defect that causes premature closure of the bicoronal sutures in the skull. She was also diagnosed with Crouzon Syndrome, which causes early fusion of skull bones and prevents the skull from growing normally and affects the shape of the head and face.

At 9 months old, Rowan had a bilateral craniectomy followed by helmet therapy. Than, at 14 months old, she needed a tracheostomy. Since Rowan is no longer able to attend daycare and requires nursing care at home, her mother has had to take an unpaid leave of absence from work.

Rowan will continue to need surgeries and medical care as she grows, adding financial stress to the Lambert family. 50% of all proceeds of this event will go directly to the Lambert Family.

COVID-19 Response Cont.

Thank you Jaimee Greitzer for this incredible idea!We will be working over the next few weeks to connect families who are able to offer support to families who could use support. While the identities of families will remain confidential, donors will know that they were able to get dinner delivered or a much needed item ordered.
Much like “adopting” a family over the holidays, we are collecting donations.
For example:
$10 could provide art supplies
$25 could provide clothing or other items
$50 could provide a dinner delivery,

Donations accepted via Venmo @Burlington-Womenade and PayPal (the YELLOW donate button on this page)

COVID-19 Response

A message from the Womenade Board:

Hello friends and family,

As you know, our organization thrives on public and social gatherings to raise money for local families in need.  Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we find ourselves in a situation that we could not have predicted.

At this time, we are asking for your help.  We need to reach out to people, friends, family and acquaintances. We will be collecting donations online. We understand times are tough right now, so we are asking for any amount ($5, $10, $20).  If you are able to give, know that your donation will be going to a local family that is in need during this scary time. Donations can be made via Venmo (@Burlington-Womenade) or PayPal (

We have been working hard to stay in touch with other groups and town members to see what the needs are. Please help us by sharing the link to our Request for Support page ( Our hope is to be able to offer grants up to $250 for as long as we have funds to do so.

Thank you for your support. We are thinking of you all and are hopeful that everyone stays healthy and safe during this difficult time.

Much love,

Korey Barkley, Sharleen Davis, Nicole Dupuis, Amanda Holmes, Kelly Hoogeboom, Elizabeth Melo, Victoria Nguyen and Megan Worsham
